  • About the Project

  • The Child Care Hub Architecture Project is a statewide effort realized through the Preschool Development Grant Birth through Five 2026 Systems-Building Grant. With the Delaware Department of Education, Early Childhood Excellence (ECE) in partnership with Public Consulting Group (PCG), we will explore how regional infrastructure can strengthen Delaware’s child care quality, access, and workforce stability.

Together, we are working to design a clear, coordinated way to support families, early childhood professionals, and community partners. Input from the community will shape practical recommendations that improve access and support across Delaware’s child care system.

  • Who can participate

  • The Child Care Hub Architecture Project invites people who utilize or support Delaware’s child care system. This includes:

    • Child care professionals, including those in center-based and family child care programs
    • Community organizations and partners who support families and child care programs
    • State and local agencies involved in early childhood services

Hearing from a wide range of voices will help the Child Care Hub Architecture Project reflect real needs and work in practice.

Participants selected and who attend the full session will receive a $25 e‑gift card as a thank you for their time.

  • Focus Groups' registration

  • Thank you for your interest in participating in a focus group for the Child Care Hub Architecture Project. Your feedback will help shape a statewide Child Care Hub Blueprint based on the real experiences and needs of people who work in child care.

We are offering focus groups tailored to different roles in the early childhood field so you can share perspectives most relevant to your work:

    • Provider Administrators (such as owners, directors, or program leaders, family child care providers)
    • ECE Professionals (such as educators, teachers, caregivers, and other staff working directly with children)

Each group will focus on topics related to your role and day-to-day experience.

Focus groups will be held on set dates and times, with options to join either in person or virtually. Sessions are voluntary, and you may choose the option that works best for you.

Participants who attend one session will receive a $25 electronic gift card as a thank you for their time.
